The purpose of our groups is to build community that lives beyond itself. The world is full of options for community that are based out of what the individual gets from the group, but Jesus calls us to create community that is about the exact opposite. That is why our groups are designed to encourage us to base our relationships in something that is bigger and better than our own self-interests.
