Come & See Disruption

In John 2:13–25, Jesus enters the temple and disrupts a religious system that had begun to crowd out the very purpose it was meant to serve. This passage challenges us to consider whether the habits, routines, and activities surrounding our faith are actually helping us draw near to God. Jesus then makes a startling claim: the true meeting place between God and humanity is no longer a building, but Jesus himself. Because of him, we don’t have to wait for the perfect place, feeling, or circumstances—we can draw near to God right where we are.
