Before You Go

Exodus 23:20–33 reminds us that we never walk into an uncertain future alone—God Himself goes before His people, preparing both the way and the place. Before commanding Israel, He first assures them of His presence and provision, then calls them to wholehearted worship rather than divided loyalty with “backup saviors” like control, money, or others’ approval. The passage teaches that God’s promises usually unfold “little by little,” not all at once, and that this slowness is intentional formation, not divine absence. For those discouraged by slow progress, it offers hope: gradual change is still the faithful work of God.
