Day 5: God's Sovereignty in Our Journey
Reading: Exodus 13:17-22
Devotional: As the Israelites began their journey out of Egypt, God led them by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. He guided them, not by the shortest route, but by the way that would best prepare them for the challenges ahead.
Often, we want God to lead us by the quickest or easiest path. But God's ways are higher than ours, and He sees the bigger picture. The detours and delays in our lives are often part of God's perfect plan to shape us and prepare us for what lies ahead.
Reflect on your own journey of faith. How has God led you in unexpected ways? Can you see how some of life's "detours" have actually been instrumental in your growth? Today, trust God with your path, knowing that He is sovereignly guiding you, even when the way seems unclear.
