God Knows Who Are His

Reading: Exodus 12:1-13; John 10:27-30

Devotional: "Not even a dog will snarl." This small detail reveals God's complete control and intimate knowledge of His people. In the chaos and terror of judgment night, God had His eye on every Israelite household. He knew every name. He numbered His people. He would not lose one.

The distinction between Egypt and Israel wasn't ethnicity, morality, or merit. It was simply this: God had set His love on Israel and claimed them as His own. Jesus echoes this same promise: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they will never perish, and no one can snatch them out of my hand."

If you belong to God through faith in Jesus, He never loses sight of you—not in your worst week, darkest night, or most anxious season. You are held by a God who controls even the mouths of dogs. Nothing can separate you from His love.

Reflection Question: Do I truly believe God knows me and will never lose sight of me?
