The Cost Of Resistance

Reading: Exodus 11:4-10; Romans 6:23

Devotional: Sin is never private. Pharaoh's stubborn rebellion didn't just harm him—it spread devastation across an entire nation, from palace to poorest home. We like to believe our choices stay in our lane, but rebellion always splashes onto others. Every decision we make ripples outward, affecting those in relationship with us.

God gave Pharaoh nine warnings. He sent Moses with clear instruction about what would happen. Still, Pharaoh resisted. The tragedy of the tenth plague reminds us that persistent rejection of God leads to devastating consequences—not just for us, but for those around us.

Today, examine your life for areas of stubborn resistance to God's will. What are you holding onto that's creating collateral damage? Confession and surrender aren't signs of weakness—they're pathways to protection for you and those you love.

Reflection Question: What am I stubbornly resisting that God has been warning me about?
