Reading: Exodus 17:8-13
Devotional: Life rarely announces its hardest battles. Just when Israel thought they were gaining traction—water from rocks, bread from heaven—Amalek attacked their most vulnerable. Your crisis may not be the one you prepared for. It might blindside you financially, emotionally, or relationally when you finally felt steady. But notice: Moses didn't say "God will handle it" and do nothing. He said, "Joshua, fight"—while he lifted God's staff on the hill. God uses human means but never shares the credit. Your effort in the valley matters, but victory comes from dependence on Him. The battle you're fighting is real, but the outcome belongs to God. What valley are you in today? Fight there—but keep looking to the hill.
