Where God Is Glorified, Joy Explodes

Reading: Psalm 16:8-11

Devotional:
The heavenly host didn't sing about joy—they sang "Glory to God in the highest!" Yet joy exploded on the scene because joy and peace always travel together. When God is glorified, when praises ring out to Him, joy naturally follows. This psalm declares, "in Your presence there is fullness of joy." Joy isn't something we manufacture through positive thinking or perfect circumstances; it's something we encounter in God's presence. The shepherds experienced this firsthand—nothing about their situation changed, but they encountered God and were transformed. Today, joy deepens in your life not by fixing everything wrong, but by entering God's presence through worship, prayer, and gratitude. When we glorify God, we position ourselves where joy naturally dwells.

Reflection:
How can you intentionally enter God's presence today through worship or gratitude?
