Changed Hearts Change the World

Reading: Luke 2:15-20

Devotional: After the angels departed, the shepherds returned to the same sheep, same work, same dirt—even the same night shift. God didn't instantly change their world, but He changed them. Notice verse 20: "The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen." They went back changed, and through changed people, God changes the world. This is the promise of Christmas: Jesus won't remove every burden instantly, but He will renew every heart that receives Him. You may return to the same job, same struggles, same circumstances, but you return different—with joy that can exist in grief, peace that outlasts busyness, and hope that holds steady when the world shakes. Let Jesus change your heart today, and watch how that changes everything.

Reflection: What's one way your encounter with Jesus this Advent season has changed you? How will you carry that back into your ordinary life?
