Grace That Transforms Through Complexity

Reading: Philippians 2:12-13; 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

Devotional: God loves you enough to be complicated. He could simplify everything by removing your freedom, instantly transforming you, or shielding you from consequences, but He doesn't. Instead, He enters the messy complexity of your personality, history, doubts, and choices, working transformation through them all. Like a parent who allows relationships to become more complex as children grow, God permits the intricacy of genuine relationship. His grace shapes the story your choices tell—not by erasing those choices but by redeeming them. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, knowing it's God working in you. Your obedience matters, yet it's powered by His grace. Your choices are real, yet He remains sovereign. Embrace the mystery.

Reflection Question: How might accepting the complexity of God's grace—rather than demanding simple answers—deepen your relationship with Him today?
