Learning to Listen

Reading: Exodus 15:22-27

Devotional: God's voice in the wilderness isn't always thunderous—sometimes it comes through bitter water made sweet. When the Israelites complained at Marah, God didn't just perform a miracle; He gave them a practice. "If you will carefully listen," He said, revealing that survival depends on responsiveness to His word. Listening in Scripture isn't passive hearing; it's active obedience. Today, we often want God's provision without His prescription, His gifts without His guidance. But true listening means aligning our lives with His word daily. What is God asking you to hear and do today? Don't just collect spiritual information—respond to it. Choose one act of obedience today, however small. Let your actions prove what your mouth professes. God doesn't just want to fix your circumstances; He wants to form your character through them.

Reflection Question: What is one thing God has been speaking to you about that you've heard but not yet obeyed?
