Holy Preparation For Holy Work

Reading: Joshua 3:5-6; 1 Peter 1:13-16

Devotional: "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you." We often want God's wonders without God's holiness. We desire His intervention but resist His examination of our hearts. Yet Joshua teaches us that God's power calls us to something higher—not casual observation but holy participation. Before the Israelites could walk on dry ground, they had to set themselves apart. What areas of compromise have you tolerated while praying for breakthrough? God's nearness demands reverence. His power isn't a tool we control but the presence of a holy God among His people. Today, ask God to search your heart. Confess what needs confessing. Prepare yourself not just to see His wonders, but to walk in them.
