Connecting to the Source

Reading: John 15:4-5

Devotional: Jesus said we must remain in Him, for apart from Him we can do nothing. The hope Isaiah prophesied about isn't accessed through willpower or positive thinking—it comes through connection with Jesus. This is why spiritual disciplines matter. Worship reminds us who God is. Scripture reveals His character and promises. Prayer opens dialogue with the source of hope. Community prevents isolation. These aren't religious obligations; they're lifelines to the person of Jesus. As we enter this Advent season tired and stretched thin, we're invited to abide—to remain connected to the One who never grows weary. His strength compensates for our weakness. His faithfulness covers our faltering. A weary world rejoices not because we've found inner strength, but because we've found Jesus.

Reflection: Which spiritual practice helps you most connect with Jesus? How can you prioritize that connection this Advent season?
