Reading: Luke 1:26-38
Devotional: Before Mary said yes, God had already decided. Before you woke up this morning, before you tried to earn approval, before you attempted to prove your worth—God chose you. The Christmas story doesn't begin with human faithfulness; it begins with divine initiative. Mary's obedience matters, but God's decision to move toward her matters more. Today, consider the areas where you're exhausted from trying to earn love. What would change if you truly believed God's love is the starting point, not the destination? You don't have to make yourself lovable. You already are loved. Stop striving. Start receiving. God has already moved toward you with grace that requires nothing from you except open hands.
