Waiting Is Not Weakness

Reading: Exodus 19:16-20; Psalm 27:13-14

Devotional:
"Wait for my trumpet." Perhaps the hardest command at Sinai was the simplest: wait. Control hates waiting because waiting requires surrender. We want to force outcomes, manufacture breakthrough, make something happen. But God's delays are not denials; they're invitations to trust. Waiting doesn't mean passivity—it means refusing to play God while taking faithful steps. What are you desperately trying to control right now? What situation makes you anxious because you can't manage it? Today, practice sacred waiting. Name what you're gripping, then open your hands. The trumpet will sound—not on your schedule, but on His. And His timing is always better than your forcing.
