The Greater Crossing

Reading: Colossians 2:13-15; Romans 6:3-11

Devotional: Joshua led Israel through the Jordan, but Jesus accomplished something greater. At the cross, Christ didn't just enter a river—He entered our judgment, our sin, our death. He stood where we couldn't stand and bore what we couldn't bear. Through His death and resurrection, He opened the way to God. The ultimate display of God's practical power isn't just that the Jordan opened, but that the tomb opened. Because of Easter, death itself became a doorway to life. That's power you can walk on. Christian life isn't walking on strength you manufacture; it's walking on grace God provides. Today, thank Jesus for going before you into death so you could walk into life. Whatever you're facing, remember: if God's power conquered death, it's sufficient for your need.
