Facing What We Can't Do

Reading: Joshua 3:1-4

Devotional: Israel camped beside the flooded Jordan for three days, forced to confront an impossible crossing. Sometimes God's first work isn't removing our obstacles but exposing our weakness. When we stand before our own "Jordan River"—a broken relationship, persistent sin, uncertain future—we discover the limits of our strength. This isn't cruelty; it's mercy. As long as we believe we're sufficient, we'll keep trying to save ourselves. But the river tells the truth: you cannot cross on your own. Today, identify one area where you've been relying on your strength. Acknowledge your need for God's power. This honest assessment isn't defeat—it's the doorway to experiencing God's practical intervention in your life.
