Courage In Fear

Reading: Joshua 1:1-9

Devotional: "Be strong and courageous" appears repeatedly in Scripture, not because God's people never felt afraid, but because they did. Biblical courage isn't the absence of fear—it's moving forward despite fear because you're not alone. The angels didn't tell the shepherds they had nothing to fear; they said, "Do not be afraid" because God was breaking into their reality. Your anxiety about that medical appointment, difficult conversation, or financial pressure is real and valid. God doesn't shame your fear; He challenges it with His presence. Courage today might look like making that phone call you've avoided, confessing a struggle, or simply getting out of bed and praying, "Lord, keep me today." What one courageous step is God asking you to take?
